Come and spend an hour in Silent Meditation on world peace and healing in this time of anger and violence both here and throughout the world.

The award winning documentary “Beyond Our Differences” asks world leaders and contemporary thinkers, “What are the fundamental issues facing our world today?” The film provides a tapestry of distinct voices and viewpoints from the realms of politics, religion, culture, and the arts and sciences as it weaves a universal vision of hope. Inspired by the lives of Gandhi, Desmond Tutu, the Dalai Lama, and others, we are called to hope, self empowerment, and expressions of faith and action to create positive change in our individual and collective lives across the planet.

An evening of peace-filled activities, beginning with a ukulele workshop at 6:00 pm. Learn how to play “Go Now in Peace” on the ukulele with award-winning folk duo, Simple Gifts. No experience necessary. Participants will play the piece during the duo’s concert at 7:00 pm. At 8:00 pm, join comedian and life coach Belinda Criddell for an interactive workshop about how prejudging stifles who we are and who we can become. The evening will end with Belinda’s comedy set, “Humor, Not Violence.” Throughout the event, enjoy coffee, outdoor acoustic music, and conversation. Plus two food trucks!
