The Wilmington Police Department will continue its tradition of celebrating National Night Out with a community celebration held on Tuesday, October 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Rodney Square.
National Night Out is an annual community event that mobilizes millions across the country, and promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
This year’s festivities will also include free food – including Grotto Pizza and Bernie’s Water Ice – thanks to the continued generous support of these popular, long-standing Wilmington businesses.
The Wilmington Police Department will be joined by various partners in law enforcement, public safety and public service, including:
- Wilmington Fire Department
- Wilmington Office of Emergency Management
- Delaware Probation and Parole
- Delaware CrimeStoppers
- New Castle County EMS
- Delaware Department of Justice
- United States Attorney’s Office
- Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
- Delaware National Guard
- ChristianaCare
- Delmarva Power
- Chase
COVID-19 vaccines will also be available.
There will also be plenty of public safety-related giveaways for children and adults alike!
