Reverend Idola Batson will give a sermon on “The Peace is Missing.” It will draw from Scripture — hope for personal, social and institutional peace. The spoken word, prayers and music will constitute the service. She recommends Facebook Live for viewing the service.
Rev Batson states that “a recurring theme of sermons is often on accessing the peace of God and finding the path to peace in an anxious and hostile environment. Black preaching is distinctive in its approach because of the direct impact of racism and the struggle for equality that daily face the African American community.”
